Extra Credit: Exploratorium 11/10/17
I didn't realize it until I got there, but the last time I went to the Exploratorium was when I went for a school field trip when I was really young, so it was a bit nostalgic for me to come back. There were a LOT more kids there than I thought there would be, as everything is like an interactive toy, so I didn't get to mess around with much but it was all interesting to look at.
A couple of my favorite parts of the museum were the visual illusions and the part that overlooks the bay and discusses geography. There were a lot of mirror illusions (along with a mirror that was upside down and looked 3D), there was examples of traditional moving pictures/animation, colored lighting, and there was also a segment on reading facial expressions/emotions. Another part I found really interesting was an installation of wall analog clocks; initially I thought they showed different time zones, but they actually showed the "time" on different planets in our solar system. It was crazy to see how much slower time moved on different planets compared to ours.
I would love to come back again to this museum, probably when it's less busy.
